Computer Science Teacher job summary

As part of our growth plan, we are seeking a teacher to help us establish a brand-new Computer Science Department. If you can deliver rigorous Computer Science teaching to our students from Year 7 to Sixth Form, we want to hear from you. Our plan is to introduce a small class at GCSE and A Level and also start teaching it as part of our curriculum offer from Year 7 upwards.

We are looking for someone with the passion, drive and curriculum knowledge to teach this challenging subject. As you will be delivering A Level Computer Science, a good grasp of programming will be required. We will support the successful candidate with our expert advisers at the Russell Education Trust to set up this new subject. Our students are passionate and eager to learn, and we have the infrastructure in place. All we need now is the right teacher.

Commitment to safeguarding

Our school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The successful applicant will need a full DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check, which can be applied for once a job offer is made.
