Computing Specialist job summary
A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen for a part-time permanent position at our popular school – we require a Computing Specialist who is passionate about the curriculum and who would embrace the many leadership aspects of this role. We also have a separate contract with an IT Technician team, allowing this candidate to focus on the teaching, learning, assessment and curriculum aspects of the role. This strategic position would also enable the candidate to develop our IT infrastructure and our 3-year plan for the subject moving forward. As this is a strategic role with a focus on whole-school development, there is capacity for the pay to reflect this level of position for the right candidate with the appropriate experience.
Our ideal candidate would have:
• experience of being a part of whole-school development
• an in-depth knowledge of the Computing Curriculum at KS2
• an excellent background of delivering high-quality teaching and learning
• experience in developing and mentoring colleagues successfully
• experience of overseeing and managing a budget
