Computing Teacher - Cross Secondary (Easter or September 2022 start) job summary

Computers are a part of everyday life and our mission is to ensure we prepare and equip our students to the best of our ability ready for life after school.

You will be instrumental in developing their computing skills and sharing your knowledge and inspiring them to understand how computer systems work. You will inspire and motivate our young people to learn about computers, develop basic computing skills, learn how computers and systems work and help them design and build programmes.

Ideally you will have experience in teaching GCSE and A level Computer Science and IT.

You will be joining an enthusiastic and committed team of Computing and IT teachers based at Bay House and Brune Park schools. We are an ever growing department who are passionate about the provision we provide. Computing and IT have historically performed well, both at GCSE and A level. Achieving well above national average year on year. With an Alps score of 2 at both GCSE and A level in both Computing and IT. We also offer extra-curricular opportunities, such as trips to Bletchley Park and the National Computing museum as well as developing an international trip to San Francisco.

Our students take pride in their studies, have a strong work ethic and are keen to do their very best. Our learners are respectful, polite and work hard to develop into resilient young adults who we are very proud of. We are committed to enabling all learners, irrespective of their current attainment, to achieve. Our Sixth Form was recently ranked joint 2nd best state A Level provider in the country for centres with over 100 candidates (DfE).
