The Role

As our Contracts and Compliance Manager, you will be the driving force behind ensuring our estate operates smoothly, safely, and efficiently. You will oversee key estates-related contracts, maintain strong supplier relationships, and ensure that all compliance, statutory and regulatory obligations are met.

Your work will directly support the quality and safety of our environments—making a real difference for staff, pupils, and the wider community.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the management, monitoring, and review of all estates-related contracts across the Trust.
Ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory and health and safety requirements.
Develop, improve and embed effective contract management processes and reporting systems.
Collaborate with internal teams and external contractors to secure value for money and consistently high-quality service delivery.
Maintain accurate compliance documentation and reporting.
Support audits, inspections and risk assessments, ensuring timely completion of actions.
Contribute to strategic planning and future development of estates operations.
Provide strategic oversight of estates and capital projects, ensuring safety, efficiency, and compliance.
Maintain accurate and timely reporting to the CFO, Trustees, and regulators.
Identify opportunities for cost savings and operational efficiencies across estates and contract management.
Lead training and guidance for staff on compliance, contract processes, and best practice.

About You

You will be someone who enjoys bringing order, structure and clarity to complex operational areas. You’ll thrive in a role where no two days are the same and where your ability to manage detail, build relationships, and improve systems is valued.

We are looking for someone with:

  • Experience in contract management, compliance or a similar operational role.
  • Strong knowledge of estates, facilities, or compliance frameworks (e.g., health & safety, statutory testing, procurement).
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Confident analytical and reporting abilities.
  • A proactive mindset and a commitment to continuous improvement.
