Due to the continued growth and success of the academy, we are seeking to appoint a talented individual in the role of Coordinator of Learning - Science (KS3). Our newly appointed candidate will continue the development and implementation of Science across the academy and have the opportunity to develop the KS3 MYP Curriculum.Supporting the Director of Learning, you will help raise the quality of teaching and learning in the department for all of our students.

This is a truly fantastic opportunity for a passionate teacher to become part of a well-established, highly collaborative and successful team that produces good outcomes and excellent results and we are confident that our teaching and support teams, our facilities and most importantly our students will inspire you. As an IB World School, applicants that have previous experience in delivering this curriculum are of strong interest to us but please note that this criterion is not essential as training will be provided.

We have an impressive Science department with state-of-the-art laboratories which are completely facilitated with all the practical equipment a scientist could dream of!

This is a permanent opportunity with a salary of MPS/UPS, commensurate with experience with a TLR.

Being part of Leigh Academies Trust:As of 1st September 2023, our Trust comprises 31 geographically organised academies (14 secondaries, 14 primaries and 2 special) educating 20,000 students, and employing 3,000 talented staff. The Trust is establishing four ‘clusters’ of academies: North Kent; Central Kent; South East London; Medway.
