Cover and Catch Up Teacher job summary

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and inspirational teacher to join our team for two terms from January 2021.

The role comprises a split role of:
- Running small group interventions in reading, writing and maths across the school in order to support our pupils to ‘catch up’ following the COVID-19 lockdown.
- Covering teachers across the school during their subject leadership release time.

This is a great opportunity for a teacher, experienced or new to teaching, who wants to gain experience across a range of year groups, teaching a range of subjects. It is also a great opportunity to focus on teaching core subjects with small groups of children, tracking their progress carefully and supporting them to reach their maximum potential.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills as they will need to liaise daily with class teachers to discuss; lesson content, children’s learning, and ensure they are applying what has been taught in small group sessions back into their class learning.
