We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed individual to fulfill the role of Cover Coordinator. As Cover Coordinator you will be responsible to and report to the Cover Manager and have the support of the Assistant Headteacher for Cover and timetabling, you will also undertake the role of Cover Supervisor.
This is a unique opportunity to be involved in the day to day staffing needs of the school, whilst having the support of existing team members and previous post holders who remain the school community and remaining student focused.
If you are an experienced Cover Supervisor, or perhaps have held other roles in school and are looking for a unique opportunity to combine student facing interaction with data, timetabling and staffing coordination this could be the ideal role for you.
As Cover Coordinator you will be required to effectively support and manage the day to day cover in school, whilst obtaining best value in the procurement of agency services.
The Cover Coordinator will manage both planned and daily cover in accordance with the School’s policy and the Safeguarding requirements and keep the diary of planned absences and liaise with Senior Leadership Team regarding planned absences.
As a Cover Supervisor you will supervise the classes of teachers at meetings, professional development activities or with short term illness, and ensure the school policies and procedures are followed, including Behaviour Management Policy, Code of Conduct rewards and sanctions etc. You may also be asked to provide support in the classroom with a teacher or other activities around the school such as small group support and other administrative activities at times when no cover supervision is required.
