Cover Manager and Student Services Receptionist job summary
Closing date: 9am 1 June 2020
Hours: 37 hours per week, 5 days a week, term time only, plus 5 INSET days, starting at 7.15am – 3.15pm
Salary: Grade 4, SP7 (actual from £16,983.26)
We are now looking for a Cover Manager and Student Services Receptionist at Maiden Erlegh School in Reading. Our school is an ambitious, over-subscribed 11-16 secondary school in an urban context which is as committed to the welfare of students and staff as it is our high-quality education. Day to day responsibilities for this post will include:
• Managing the daily cover requirements of the school
• Monitor staff absence
• Manage the student services reception, including assistance with First Aid
• Provide admin and cover support to the various school admin teams.
The successful applicant will be energetic and enthusiastic and enjoy working with 11-16-year olds. Whilst experience is not necessary, you must have a good standard of literacy, be adaptable and willing to be involved in all aspects of school life, have a calm manner and good sense of humour and be able to work as part of team. You will enjoy nurturing young people to grow in confidence and flourish personally. You will share our inclusive values of “opportunity, diversity and success for all” and you will have a willingness to develop your own practice in line with our ethos of continuous improvement.
