What skills and experience we're looking for

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, well organised and committed Cover Manager who will organise the planning and allocation of daily cover arrangements for planned and unplanned staff absences. You will co-ordinate and support the daily timetable for Cover Supervisors and supply staff to ensure agreed lesson plans are delivered effectively and efficiently in order to maintain good order, keeping students on task in the classroom ensuring they progress through the planned curriculum. You will liaise with external supply agencies to secure the best candidates to cover absence where required.
Knowledge and Experience
Understanding and working knowledge of the national curriculum and other learning programmes (within specified age range/subject area) e.g. knowledge of core subject areas
Understanding
of inclusion
Experience of resources preparation to support learning programmes
Previous experience working in an education setting
Working knowledge of SIMS and Cover
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel and Word
Experience of working with supply agencies or outside agencies, maintaining professional relationships
Awareness of GDPR requirements and regulations
Qualifications and Training
Good standard of Education up to GCSE or equivalent - Excellent literacy and numeracy skills
Minimum 2 years experience of working with children in an educational setting (within specified age range/subject area)
NVQ 2/3 equivalent or above in teaching assistance or relevant experience
QTS/QTLS
Skills and Abilities
Excellent time management, planning and organisational skills
Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships
Ability to work effectively under
pressure
Ability to communicate effectively at all levels
Effective Behaviour Management skills
