Cover Supervisor job summary
Saracens High School is a free school that opened in September 2018 for pupils aged 11-18, in the Colindale area of North London, serving the wonderfully diverse Grahame Park community.
This year we began our final year of growth and we are looking for a cover supervisor. Our first two cover supervisors went on to become teachers within the school, and this is the perfect preparation for that step into teaching or another role within the education sector.
The successful candidates will cover for staff absences by delivering their lessons, and when not required to cover, they will work within an identified subject area, supporting and learning from others, and developing their own pedagogy.
Saracens High School has a family ethos and is committed to supporting staff in this rewarding job, while recognising the stress it puts upon us. The successful candidates will have relevant experience of working with young people in an educational setting, and will ideally have a knowledge of the local area or similar area. Saracens High School is a new secondary school which opened in September 2018. This year we have our first cohort of Year 11s sitting exams in the summer and we open our Sixth Form in September 2023.
The school is located in the Colindale area of North London with easy access to the Northern Line (Colindale) and mainline rail (Mill Hill Broadway) as well as the M1 and A1.
We will moved into our brand new state of the art building in the autumn of 2021.
