What skills and experience we're looking for

Following a period of induction, as a Cover Supervisor, you will supervise classes in a teacher’s absence, to maintain good order and keep students on task for the work set by the teacher. You will also supervise students during part of break/lunchtimes and assist with admin tasks and exam invigilation, as required.

The successful candidate will have a good standard of general education and experience of working with young people (voluntary or paid). Previous experience of working in education would be desirable but is not essential. You should have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to react confidently and positively to a variety of situations. The hours of work will be 8.20am to 3.30pm, Monday to Friday, however we would welcome applications from colleagues looking for a part time role. If you are simply looking for a change of role in education or are keen to further your knowledge and skill set before training to be a teacher, then please get in touch.

What the school offers its staff

You will be given a full induction and opportunities to a range of personal and professional development opportunities plus rewarding staff wellbeing initiatives to support you along the way.

At Myton, we are proud of the supportive and rewarding environment we have created. We have high standards and a good reputation, built upon the hard work and dedication of our staff.
