We have an exciting opportunity for a Cover Supervisor to join us to work with our students and friendly, supportive staff. The Cover Supervisor’s primary role is to introduce work to students, set by a subject specialist, and support them with their learning in the absence of the classroom teacher.

The successful candidate will be organised, flexible and reliable, with the ability to work with students in a professional and appropriate way. Candidates should be enthusiastic individuals who enjoy working with young people and have the ability to work well in a team. This is an excellent opportunity; especially for candidates considering a teaching career, as previous cover supervisors have gone on to complete their teacher training. Whilst previous experience of working in a secondary school setting is advantageous, it is not essential, as training will be provided.

Working with us offers you the opportunity to:

-Join a “kind and caring school” where pupils “enjoy being part of the inclusive community” (OFSTED 2023) that aims to be “exceptional school at the heart of our community”.

-Be part of a forward-thinking department with well-resourced schemes of work and where teachers are encouraged to be innovative and try out a range of teaching styles.

-Engage in excellent, personalised, professional development opportunities.

-Join a school where early finishes for parent consultation evenings and free tea and coffee every day are just some of the ways we ensure staff well-being is central to our decision making.

-Work in a school where the values of Respect, Kindness, Pride and Responsibility underpin all we do.
