We are seeking a Cover Supervisor to join the team. The post would suit a confident, assertive individual who has a good rapport with young people and is able to supervise classes in the absence of their teachers, ensuring that learning takes place in a calm and orderly environment.

At Wootton Academy Trust we are “warm-strict”: strict in that we are clear about how students should behave and the standards we hold them to, and warm in how we support them to do this. You will be expected to set high expectations to motivate and challenge pupils whilst managing behaviour effectively and promoting a positive learning environment.

In periods where cover is not required the ideal candidate must be flexible enough to undertake other tasks such as exam invigilation, break duties, form responsibilities, administration and general support.

You will have experience of working with young people ideally gained in an educational setting. The successful candidates will be enthusiastic and self-motivated and be able to work with minimum supervision.

Closing Date: Open until filled. Please apply at the earliest opportunity. We reserve the right to close the vacancy early should we receive applications from outstanding candidates.

Applicants must complete the Trust’s application form via My New Term- we cannot accept CVs. When applying, please complete all sections of the application form and ensure that you do not leave any gaps in your qualification/work history and that you give details of any periods not accounted for by full time employment, education or training. Forms with missing sections and/or gaps may not be considered.
