What skills and experience we're looking for

We would like to appoint a Cover Supervisor for the next academic year.

We welcome both full time and part time applications (minimum 2 days per week).

This role can be undertaken part time alongside another part time role, or on secondment from a substantive role.

The role involves Cover Supervision of classes when the teacher is absent, including maintaining order in the classroom by following our school systems, and supporting students to complete the work set by the teacher.

Some of the role may involving supervising a small group of students in Year 9-11 working independently in a “Study Support” group. This will involve liaising with the students’ teachers to ensure they have suitable work to complete, ensuring the students stay on task and complete the work to a good standard, and that the work is returned to the teacher.

When not required to cover, the role involves completing additional administrative tasks to support teaching and learning. This may include preparation and planning work for other cover lessons.
