Contract type: Term time plus 2 INSET/Additional Days, Permanent

Hours: 30 hours per week: Monday - Friday, 08:20 - 15:20

This includes two unpaid breaks, one for 20 minutes and the other for 40 minutes

This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact on students’ learning and development.
As a Cover Supervisor you will play a key role in maintaining continuity of learning during teacher absences. You will supervise whole classes, ensuring that students remain on task and complete work set by their usual teacher or department.

You will be an essential part of our school community, helping to create a calm, purposeful classroom environment. While you will not be required to plan or mark work, your ability to manage behaviour, support learning and uphold school policies will be vital in keeping students engaged and productive.

Selection Process:

We are required for only shortlisted candidates to conduct online searches about an applicant as part of our shortlisting process in accordance with Keeping Children Safe in Education guidance 2025 in order to identify any incidents or concerns which are publicly available online. On signing the declaration on application you will be agreeing to the acknowledgement that such searches will be conducted as part of the shortlisting process.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to the school where there will be a number of related tasks, details of which will be discussed on the day. Interviews will be held with the Headteacher and possibly another member of SLT. There will also be a tour of the school estate and this may be conducted by other members of the school community.

Rickmansworth School is an 11-18 heavily oversubscribed co-educational partially (35%) selective academy with nearly 1455 students on roll, increasing to around 1575 students over the next five years.
