Cover Supervisor job summary

Biddenham is an 11-19, oversubscribed school that, as we expand, is entering the next phase of its development. Due to our popularity, and as part of our £4.5 million building programme, we need to grow and strengthen our already high performing staff team who, by 2025, will be working with 1500 students.

To that end, we are expanding our Cover team and seek to appoint motivated and enthusiastic Cover Supervisors who will work to cover lessons across all subjects in the school. We work collaboratively to provide high standards of learning and teaching for every student. The successful candidates will also work alongside the Learning Support Department.

We would love to hear from you if you are:

able to work with and inspire young people

creative and innovative

dedicated to improving the learning outcomes of all students

passionate about teaching and learning

These positions would ideally suit degree qualified candidates who are interested in gaining teaching experience prior to applying for a teaching qualification. Our Cover Supervisors often move into the teaching profession. Biddenham has a comprehensive professional development programme and has successfully trained many graduates who have gained their teaching qualification through us.

Applications are welcome from degree qualified candidates and experienced practitioners, but we will also consider candidates educated to Level 3/A Level. Previous applicants need not apply.
