Hours: 35.5 hours, 39 weeks (term time plus one week)

Working pattern: Mon, Weds, Thurs & Fri 8am - 3.30pm, Tuesday 8am - 4pm

Salary: Pathway 4, points 14 – 18, £23,766 - £25,373 per annum (FTE £28,624 - £30,559)

Your role:

As a Cover Supervisor at Thomas Deacon Academy, you will teach whole classes in the absence of regular teachers, ensuring a high-quality learning experience. You will prepare for lessons, liaise with teachers, and provide feedback on student progress. Your role involves supervising students, managing behaviour, and promoting an inclusive classroom environment. Essential qualifications include GCSEs in Maths and English, a basic understanding of child development, and the ability to establish positive relationships with students. Experience in an educational setting and the ability to use ICT in learning activities are also crucial.
