What skills and experience we're looking for
We are seeking to appoint a Cover Supervisor to provide essential continuity of learning during teacher absence. This is a diverse and varied role across all curriculum areas with strong connections built throughout all departments.
Required to work 32.5 hours per week (8.15am–3.15pm Monday – Friday) or part time will be considered, term time only (39 weeks per year).
We are also seeking opportunities for staff to deliver cover supervision blended with other roles such as Learning Support Assistant, community project interventions, or academic tuition. If you have skills that could benefit our young people we are keen and interested to hear from you.
A firm but non-confrontational approach towards discipline is essential, as are excellent communication skills. Experience of working with young people is desirable, although full training will be provided. Applicants need to have a good general education and be educated to GCSE level C or equivalent in Maths and English. Graduates looking for future teaching careers will be considered.
