Job Purpose:

As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth running of the school by supervising classes during short-term teacher absences. You will support pupils in their learning, run small intervention groups, and help maintain a purposeful learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Classroom Supervision: Manage classrooms independently, ensuring pupil behaviour is acceptable and work progresses in the absence of the teacher.

Behaviour Management: Uphold and apply agreed policies for learning and behaviour in a consistent manner.

Resource Management: Provide necessary resources for activities and clarify instructions to ensure pupils can progress with their work.

Support Learning: Assist pupils with their learning, both in small groups and individually, promoting inclusion and acceptance of all students.

We are looking for someone with:

5 GCSEs A-C including English and Maths.

Experience of working as a HLTA, LSA, TA, or teacher.

The ability to deliver stimulating teaching experiences; have good written and oral skills; an understanding of inclusion and ability to relate well to children and adults.

A strong commitment to raising standards and positive approach to learning

Good adaptability, patience, resilience and determination

Excellent organisational skills, punctuality, honesty, and trustworthiness.

Enthusiasm and good humour
