Are you passionate about education and supporting young people in their learning journey? Thornhill Academy is seeking a dedicated Cover Supervisor to join our team and play a vital role in ensuring a high-quality learning experience for our students.
As a Cover Supervisor, you will:
- Supervise classes during teacher absences, ensuring students remain engaged with pre-set work.
- Maintain a positive learning environment, promoting high expectations of behaviour and participation.
- Support students by answering queries, explaining tasks, and providing feedback.
- Uphold the academy’s values of Excellence, Equity, and Integrity.
We are looking for a candidate who:
✔ Has strong interpersonal and communication skills.
✔ Can confidently manage and engage students in a classroom setting.
✔ Is organised, proactive, and enjoys working as part of a team.
✔ Has a minimum of GCSE-level literacy and numeracy skills.
