What skills and experience we're looking for

Essential requirements:

  • Very good numeracy/literacy skills – GCSE Grade C Maths and English or equivalent
  • Meets Higher Level Teaching Assistant standards or equivalent qualification or experience
  • Can work at NVQ 4 level overall
  • Effective behaviour management strategies
  • Experience of working with children of primary school age

Key Skills:

  • Working knowledge and experience of implementing National Curriculum and other relevant learning programmes
  • Enthusiastic, hard-working, energetic
  • Able to build meaningful relationships with both children and staff
  • Work constructively as part of a team, understanding classroom roles and responsibilities and your own position within these.
