Are you an aspiring teacher or experienced TA/HLTA looking for a Cover Supervisor position in an ‘Outstanding’ school?
Glyn School is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated Cover Supervisor to cover lessons during staff absences and to work within a team of highly motivated and talented individuals.
This role will be well suited for candidates who are looking to start their career in teaching, experienced teachers looking for flexibility, TA/HLTA’s or gap year students from universities. We are interested in hearing from all candidates, no matter what point in your career you are currently at, and welcome flexible working arrangements.

Your opportunity:
You will be providing effective cover supervision for lessons on a regular basis, and providing stability and continuity for students whose lessons are affected by short-term teacher absence. This may include offering further intervention sessions for students to help address learning gaps. Lesson plans and materials will be provided and your role will include registering the form and class, ensuring that students complete the tasks provided by the teacher, managing the classroom, providing additional support as needed and feedback to the teacher. You will have the opportunity to cover a wide variety of subjects including Maths, Science, PE and Games, Drama, English, Humanities, MFL, Social Sciences, Creative & Performing Arts and Technology. Our Year Groups will include Year 7 – Year 13 across Key Stages KS3, KS4 and KS5.

Start date: September 2022 (or sooner)
Contract type: Permanent
Pay Scale: GLF Associate Staff, Specialist
Working hours: Term-time, Part-time up to 32.5 hours per week
Annual Salary from £22,500 FTE (pro-rata for working 32.5 hrs per week): from £17,474
