Cover Supervisor job summary

We are seeking to appoint a Cover Supervisor (Maternity Cover) to supervise pre-prepared lessons in the absence of a teacher. The successful candidate will maintain a purposeful learning atmosphere and keep students on task, as well as have a passion for helping young people reach their full potential.

Hours: 32.5 hours per week. Monday-Friday 8.30am-3.30pm. Term time only plus 5 TED days.

Salary: TA Scale 3, SCP 7 - 17 (£15,095.09 to £18,399.52 based on 32.5 hours, term-time only)

Hanley Castle High School is a mixed 11-18 comprehensive school of approximately 1,050 students, including a flourishing sixth form. The school gained academy status in 2011 and in April 2017 our articles of association as an academy were amended to form the Hanley and Upton Educational Trust (MAT). This formalised close links with Hanley Swan and Kempsey primary schools. In January 2019 Welland primary school also became a member of the MAT.
