Cover Supervisor including some PE lessons job summary
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team of dedicated professionals as a Cover Supervisor
The successful candidate will support students within the School as part of a team under the direction of the line manager in order to:
Supervise classes during the short-term absence of the class teacher.
Oversee students in the absence of their normal teacher, passing on to them work that has been left for them and ensuring that they work quietly and effectively throughout the lesson.
The key purpose of the job is to facilitate high quality learning within the classroom in the absence of the regular teacher.
There will also be regular PE lessons to cover under the guidance of the PE team.
Cover supervisors also carry out general administration work when not on cover, and work throughout the school.

Sheringham High School became an Academy in 2011 and is situated on the North Norfolk coast, forty or so minutes from Norwich. Until September 2021, Sheringham High was the central high school in the North Norfolk Academy Trust which has now merged with Synergy MAT.
We are a popular School that caters for over 700 students aged from 11 to 18 who live in Sheringham, Holt and the many surrounding villages. The School occupies a wonderful campus set in its own spacious playing fields with views of the sea.
