Cover Supervisor job summary

Ormiston Horizon Academy is seeking a Cover Supervisor with the ability to cover a wide range of lessons.

The successful candidate will demonstrate the confidence to manage a class of mixed ability pupils and the ability to keep students focused and on task. They will be capable of following the academies' policies and procedures including, but not limited to, those relating to classroom routines, the behaviour system and safeguarding.

Experience in a Cover Supervisor role is desirable but not required, as is experience working within an educational setting or with young people.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 GCSEs Grade A-C (or equivalent) and will have the ability to build positive, professional relationships with young people.

The Cover Supervisor role is 5 days / 32.5 hours per week (see attachment for working hours), 39 weeks per year (term time + inset days).

This is a fixed term, one year contract.
