What skills and experience we're looking for

Are you someone with experience of working with children and a passion for helping? Perhaps you are a Graduate thinking about going into teaching and are looking for a way to gain valuable experience? Would you like to work in a role where you can make a difference to the lives of young people? If so, the School Cover Supervisor role may be for you!

As a School Cover Supervisor you will be responsible for supervising students during short term teacher absences and assist in preparing the learning environment and the materials required. You will cover lessons of any subject using the cover work set by the teacher, set high expectations to motivate and challenge students whilst managing behaviour effectively and promoting a positive learning environment.

The successful candidate will also be responsible for organising the daily cover rota for absent staff and contacting teaching supply agencies to arrange supply staff. In periods where cover is not required you will support in the classroom as directed.

These posts would ideally suit an individual considering a teaching career, but applications are welcome from any candidate with integrity, imagination and energy for this rewarding role.

You must possess good communication and listening skills and ensure that respect and confidentiality is maintained at all times. This is a fantastic opportunity for a highly motivated and driven individual, you must possess the skills and determination to make a significant difference to the lives of our students.
