Cover Supervisor (Primary) job summary

Since becoming an academy in September 2009, Kettering Buccleuch Academy has seen many exciting changes. We are an all-through academy catering for students aged 4-18. We moved into our new, purpose-built building in January 2013. The Role

We are looking for an experienced Cover Supervisor to join our academy within the Primary department. You will be expected to present pre-prepared work to groups of students. This will normally happen in the absence of the class teacher. The post will also include other supervisory duties and administrative tasks.

The hours are 8am-4pm Monday to Friday, 39 weeks per year.

About You

You will be qualified to at least Grade C in English and Maths and will preferably be qualified to HLTA level. You will be extremely organised, focussed and have a calm and friendly approach to all stakeholders. You will have great patience and empathy along with excellent interpersonal skills, as this role involves dealing with students, staff and colleagues within United Learning. You will enjoy working with young people and have experience of working with them and be independent but be able to judge when to ask for help and support.
