Full and/or part time considered

Bourne Community College is a growing and unique 11-16 mixed comprehensive Trust school, valued and supported by the local community. We have been awarded the Unicef Rights Respecting Schools Award ‘Gold’, which very few secondary schools hold in the country, for the second time.

We have high expectations for our students and of our staff and we aim to provide the highest quality education in an atmosphere of mutual respect where everyone is valued. We are a fully inclusive school where each individual is supported to develop and nurture the values, skills and attributes that enable them to become the very best that they can, regardless of their individual needs.

The position involves supervision of the learning (not teaching) of students between the ages of 11 and 16 in any subject area when a teacher is absent from school. The position is suitable for an individual who is confident working with young people, flexible, well organised, with strong communication and inter-personal skills.

A training and support programme will be provided for this varied and fulfilling role.
This post is an excellent opportunity for someone considering training to become a teacher. The role may also be suitable for recent graduates, qualified teachers who would like to move to a non-teaching role or those returning to work.

This is a permanent position, term time only, plus INSET Days, for 6 hours per day to include lunch duties, required as soon as possible.
Salary is Grade 4 Point 5-6 currently £19312-£19698 p.a. pro rata
(Approx. £13249 - £13514 p.a.)

Please note we can only accept applications on the official application form (no CVs)
