Cover Supervisor
Salary: Thurrock Band C Point 13 – 19 (£9,212.64 - £10,624.52 per annum)
15 hours per week
Thursday & Friday 8:00am – 4:00pm (With a 30 minute unpaid break)
Other days could be considered for the right candidate
37 weeks per year, term time only

St Clere’s School are seeking to appoint an experienced, enthusiastic and flexible Cover Supervisor to support cover within the school. A candidate who has a degree or previous relevant experience would be at an advantage. St Clere’s School has previously supported Cover Supervisors to complete their Teaching Training and progress to a teaching role within the school.
Key Duties of the role:
- Supervising classes and supporting pupils
- Delivering cover work set by the class teacher
- Providing feedback to the classroom teacher on the pupil’s progress against lesson plans, conduct of the lesson and keeping pupil related records
- Dealing with any immediate problems or emergencies according to the school’s policies and procedures
- Collecting any completed work after the lesson and returning it to the appropriate teacher
- Provide additional support to teachers in classrooms, to carry out administrative tasks when not covering a class
- Act as a role model, setting high expectations of conduct and behaviour and adhering to the schools behaviour management policy
