What skills and experience we're looking for
Strong academic record, including English and Maths at Grade C, 4/5 or equivalent
Experience of working with/supervising students including knowledge of behavioural and learning difficulties
Relevant teaching qualification - PGCE/QTS
Relevant qualification in supporting people e.g. NVQ
Ability to initiate, develop and maintain good working relationships with teachers, students, parents and staff

We are seeking to appoint a skilled, enthusiastic, dynamic and inspirational Cover Supervisor to assist the cover team and support our young people. Your main responsibility will be to provide cover for classes, supervising and delivering pre-prepared learning activities and cover whole classes in the absence of the teacher as directed by the Cover Coordinator. You will be able to demonstrate strong interpersonal skills with a desire to promote and develop children's learning and confidence.
This is a very rewarding role where you will be able to develop strong working relationships with children. Graduates who have an interest in pursuing a future career in teaching or individuals who have previous experience of working with children will be particularly suited to this role.
We welcome applications from individuals who have experience of working with young people either in an educational and/or social care setting. You must be able to establish excellent relationships with pupils and colleagues, and work well within a team.
