POST OF: COVER SUPERVISOR 31 HOURS PER WEEK DURING TERM TIME ONLY – GRADE 3 £20,344 - £26,317 pro rata – (ACTUAL SALARY £15,104-£19,993 per annum)
Swanshurst is an ‘Outstanding School’ for girls with over 1800 students on roll aged 11-19 years. We offer excellent support and CPD for staff at all stages of their career.
We are looking to recruit a Cover Supervisor to support lessons for absent teaching staff. The ideal candidate will be confident, supportive and possess good communication skills. They should have an empathy with young people.
The overarching purpose of the role will include the following:
• To give instructions for a lesson as provided by the teacher
• Ensure good behaviour of the students and make sure that students engage in the planned learning activities
• Responding to students’ general questions and providing feedback to the teacher on broad issues such as behaviour
The role will include general cover for any subject and other general duties as required to ensure the smooth operation of the school.

This post is covered by Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) and therefore the ability to speak fluent spoken English is an essential requirement for this role.
