Job description

We are now looking for a Cover Supervisor at Maiden Erlegh School in Reading, to provide classroom supervision during a teacher’s absence. Using information and resources provided, to ensure that students’ learning is not compromised by the absence of a teacher, the focus of this role is to provide continuity and consistency and encourage an environment where learning is maximised in every lesson.

The successful applicant will be energetic and enthusiastic and enjoy working with 11-16-year olds. Whilst experience is not necessary, you must have a good standard of literacy, be adaptable and willing to be involved in all aspects of school life, have a calm manner and good sense of humour and be able to work as part of team. You will enjoy nurturing young people to grow in confidence and flourish personally. Essential educational requirements

Degree desirable

Ability or desire to drive the school minibus would be an advantage
