Cover Supervisor job summary
Are you looking to gain classroom based experience before starting your Teacher Training?
An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Support Team for an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual to join our team-orientated school in September 2022, graded as ‘Good’ in all categories (Ofsted June 2018). The vacancy is on a part-time, term time only basis (32.5 hours per week).
The role of the Cover Supervisor is essential to provide assistance to the teaching departments by delivering lessons already prepared by the teacher. Cover Supervisors are not required to plan, prepare or mark class work. When not being used to cover for absent staff you will be required to work alongside teachers in a supporting TA role.
We want to hear from you if you have an interest in teaching or have had previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, volunteer or youth leader with secondary aged children. The successful applicant will be a dynamic and enthusiastic individual who is able to make the significant contribution required to secure the very best outcomes for all students at The Bicester School. As part of our Induction Programme, full training will be given on our classroom procedures and protocols.
This is a responsible and rewarding role and can be a great stepping stone into teacher training.
