Cover Supervisor job summary
The School is now looking to appoint two Cover Supervisors who will be responsible for delivering effective cover for classes during periods of teacher absence. Cover Supervisors supervise whole classes in the absence of a teacher, ensuring that students understand learning expectations and they complete work set by the teacher. They are responsible for managing student behaviour to ensure an effective and safe learning environment, responding to any questions from students about the work set and collecting all completed work at the end of the lesson and returning it to the teacher.
The ideal candidate will have some professional experience working with children, an understanding of classroom management techniques and be effective in the use of ICT. They will need to sensitive and caring to the needs of young people and have highly effective communication skills.
