What skills and experience we're looking for
We are seeking to appoint a cover supervisor who will be responsible for supervising lessons during the short-term absence of the normal class teacher. You will be required to cover any subject but work will be set in advance. Previous experience of working in the classroom would be an advantage but training and support will be provided. The post may be of interest for those wishing to gain experience prior to a career in teaching.
We require someone with:
- A genuine interest in young people and their learning
- The ability to communicate clearly and confidently
- Flexibility and a sense of humour
- Qualifications at least to Level 2 or the equivalent
- The ability to cover physical education lessons would be an advantage
