This post is designed to
provide supervision of classes in the absence of the subject teacher or mentor.
The job is not a teaching role but will require good classroom management
skills as well as a confident personality, excellent communication skills and
the ability to adapt quickly to a varied and constantly changing routine.
The successful candidate
- A good standard
of basic education;
- An NVQ level 2 in
relevant qualification (or equivalent);
experience of working with young people in a similar environment;
- The ability to
take charge of a classroom and give clear instructions and guidance to students
- Applicants will
ideally have experience of providing support in the classroom, possibly as a
Teaching Assistant, although other qualifications and personal / work
experiences will be taken into account.
