What skills and experience we're looking for
We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, confident person to join our fantastic team of Cover Teachers.
This post would be ideal for an ECT or an aspiring teacher as this role will provide you with first-hand experience of working in a school setting.
The Role:
In this key position, the successful candidate will supervise a group of students during the short-term absence of a teacher to ensure that students carry out a pre-prepared lesson whilst maintaining the good behaviour of the students, keeping students on task, responding to questions, and generally assisting students to undertake and engage in the set learning activities to support their learning.
Other duties could involve administrative/technical support to subject departments, examination supervision and accompanying school trips.
What we're looking for:
- a reliable and motivational individual who can demonstrate excellent interpersonal and organisational skills.
- a flexible approach to working.
- the ability to create a calm and purposeful class environment and provide support to a variety of staff and students.
- Previous experience of working with young people is desirable and the ability to contribute to the wider life of the school would be an advantage.
