What skills and experience we're looking for

Zest Academy Trust is seeking to appoint a driven, dynamic, and committed cover teacher, who has the passion, knowledge and skillset to drive up standards and complement our existing team of excellent practitioners at this pivotal time in Waterloo’s development.

Waterloo Primary Academy is a three-form entry primary school with its own nursery, situated at the very heart of an area of significant deprivation in Blackpool. This brings a significant level of challenge to the role, but at the same time, significant rewards.

The successful candidate will be a highly motivated, outstanding and flexible practitioner and will be enthusiastic about delivering a range of subjects to children aged between 3 and 11. They will be committed to providing a secure, happy and exciting learning experience which meets the needs of all learners.

  • have the ability to form excellent partnerships with colleagues, parents and carers This post will suit a teacher with experience of delivering the primary curriculum (including EYFS) and have a demonstrable track record of high expectations, excellent behaviour management skills and successful outcomes for children.

It is imperative that applicants are able to work independently and flexibly as part of our large staff team, all of whom have the desire to make a significant difference to the lives of our pupils. Applicants must demonstrate a willingness to contribute to the extra-curricular life of the school.
