What skills and experience we're looking for
We are very pleased to advertise for the position of Creative Arts 2iC at Bishop Justus Church of England School. This vacancy within the Creative Arts Faculty (which includes Media, Film, Art and Design Technology departments) presents a unique opportunity for an experienced Creative Arts Teacher to make an impact on an important area of the national curriculum. The Creative Arts 2iC should be prepared to pursue high academic standards and be able to deliver an excellent education. The successful candidate will lead on the design, delivery of the curricula and can expect to be supported as a practitioner as we work towards delivering a full and balanced curriculum.
This is an exciting opportunity to join Bishop Justus, a large and dynamic Church of England school in the busy suburb of Bromley. Our ideal candidate will:
- Be an excellent Teacher and 2 iC within the Creative Arts Faculty.
- Lead on designing and delivering the curriculum across DT;
- Have a love of the subject and desire and ability to convey this to students;
- Be enthusiastic, energetic and open to innovation;
- Possess effective communication skills and be emotionally intelligent;
- Possess effective ICT skills and be open to new uses of technology in the workplace;
- Be committed to co-curricular activities including lunch time activities;
- Be committed to continuing professional learning;
- Have integrity, optimism and a good sense of humour;
- Hold a good honours degree along with qualified teacher status;
- Have some leadership experience;
