What skills and experience we're looking for
Calthorpe Academy are looking for a qualified teacher with a passion for music, art and movement who will, under the guidance, of the Senior Leadership Team, lead our Creative Arts Curriculum across the academy for learners with SLD, ASD and PMLD.
Experienced practitioners as well as newly qualified teachers are welcome to apply.
As the Creative Arts Coordinator in the school, you will be responsible for ensuring that every learner enjoys an excellent experience in your lessons and will work very closely with the rest of the team in planning and delivering interesting and engaging sequences of lessons.
This is a fantastic opportunity, and the post would be suitable for experienced practitioners as well as newly qualified Music/Performing Arts teachers, who would be able to benefit from their successful and supportive ECT Induction Programme.
Experience and Qualifications
- Degree in Music/ Performing Arts or similar
- QTS or PGCE
- Experience of working with children (experience with SEND preferable)
