Permanent Creative Digital Media/Esports Teacher

You will be an enthusiastic, flexible, and highly motivated Teacher who will be committed to improving outcomes for all our children, along with a passion for providing inspirational learning experiences.

TLR2a Responsibilities and Head of Department Responsibilities:

  • To inspire our students
  • To ensure that every student you teach achieves their full potential
  • To lead the Esports/Creative Digital Department, their day to day operation, staffing and budgets.
  • Write the Department Optimising Learning Document, in line with current school policy
  • To co-ordinate Curriculum Development, Planning and Implementation for all Year Groups and across the Esports/Creative Digital offer
  • Oversee all Medium Term Planning, allowing time to team planning to share ideas
  • To lead decision making and planning and assessment
  • Develop a working tracker for KS3 and KS4 Esports/Creative Digital that allows careful monitoring of student progress
  • To attend all TLR meetings, taking an active role in driving whole school T&L
  • To support the QA process in Esports/Creative Digital
  • Supporting the wellbeing and professional development of all staff within the department ensuring the team is continually developing and improving (both Subject Knowledge and Practice)
  • Regularly conduct Lesson Visits, work and planner scrutinise to monitor standards in the department
  • Work closely with senior leaders, ensuring all department initiatives and processes are in line with school strategy and ideals
  • Lead all Department meeting (ensuring Key SIPs and the department’s contribution) regularly
  • Provide detailed tutor and subject teacher reports for annual reviews
  • Provide progress updates 1:1 at parents evenings
  • Liaise with Integrated Response Team to agree on Esports/Creative Digital offer for students inside and outside the classroom
  • Liaise with T&L team with regards to progress of the staff member
  • Monitor curriculum budget spend and provide evaluations on a termly basis
