What skills and experience we're looking for
We are looking for a dynamic and talented practitioner, with a passion and flair for technology, to lead this successful and vibrant area of our school. The high calibre of candidate required for this post reflects our school’s continuing commitment to further developing this area of our provision. We want to receive applications from aspirational colleagues who possess excellent subject knowledge and have experience of successful leadership. If you have the skills and knowledge to create and foster an ambitious, innovative culture across the various disciplines of technology, we want to hear from you!
At KS3, our pupils study a range of subject specialisms to prepare them for the different pathways we offer at KS4: GCSE, NCFE and BTEC qualifications. The faculty is well resourced and comprises five subject specialists, including a Subject Lead for Hospitality and Catering, and two technicians. Significant investment has taken place over the past decade and the faculty boasts some of the best equipment of schools across the region. We have a number of 3D printers, 2 laser cutters, 2 fully equipped workshops, a food technology room and a newly refurbished graphics / food demonstration room. There are also plans to invest in a further workshop in the near future.
Excellent outcomes and expanding numbers of pupils studying at KS4 make joining the team at this exciting time a fantastic
opportunity for the right candidate. This role offers the successful applicant an opportunity to further develop an increasingly
thriving area of the school as part of a cohesive, forward-thinking and ambitious team.
