Curriculum Director, Computing
You will work alongside the Executive Principal, Principal and UTC staff to develop a centre of excellence focusing on Computing, Health Science / Sports Science. Central to this role is ensuring outstanding delivery of GCSE Computer Science, NCFE L2 Technical Award in Digital Media, L3 Cambridge Technical Certificate and Diploma, Computer Science A-Level as outlined in the offer on the UTC website.
Essential educational requirements
A good/outstanding teacher who is qualified to professional/ degree level
Excellent subject knowledge relevant to faculty area.
Successful operational delivery at a leadership level in a relevant setting.
Proven positive impact on raising standards and managing change.
Essential skills and experience
Evidence of the ability to cohesively build, manage and lead a team in the successful delivery of projects in line with targets and objectives.
Experience of development planning and review to secure positive outcomes.
Excellent knowledge and understanding of a range of pedagogical approaches to teaching and learning gained in a comparable environment.
Evidence of effective coaching or mentoring to secure improvements in teaching and learning.
Excellent up to date knowledge of the appropriate curriculum development opportunities in both vocational and academic combinations.
An additional one-off payment of £2,000 may be available for the right candidate to support relocation costs.
About UTC Sheffield Olympic Legacy Park
UTC Sheffield Olympic Legacy Park is a University Technical College which opened in September 2016 on the Olympic Legacy Park site in north-east Sheffield, South Yorkshire, England. The UTC is sponsored by The Sheffield College and Sheffield Hallam University, who also sponsor the UTC Sheffield which opened in 2013, Specialising in Computing, Health Sciences and Sport Science. Students can join in Y9 or Y12 to study a combination of GCSEs/A Levels and a technical specialism.
