Curriculum Lead for Science job summary
We are looking to appoint a child centred, dynamic and forward thinking science teacher to lead a successful team of colleagues. Candidates will have proven leadership in science and be inspirational classroom practitioners. It is rare that this key strategic role in the school arises to join such a vibrant middle leadership team and a school with very low staff turnover.
The science department is a successful team of staff that consistently support students to achieve excellent outcomes. They are very supportive and have a broad range of specialisms across biology, chemistry and physics. There are three full-time lab technicians and science is housed in refurbished accommodation. All teachers have their own laboratories, appropriately equipped for each specialism, with laptop and projector. Triple Sciences are offered as part of the KS4 options and students study the combined science GCSE course with excellent outcomes.
