Curriculum Lead - Reading/Phonics job summary

The role of the Reading/Phonics lead is to ensure all students develop reading skills that suit their needs and abilities. Reading is a key priority for the trust and the Reading Lead will be responsible for creating and implementing a reading policy for the school. They will need to implement a phonological awareness and phonics programme across the school, meeting the range of needs that the student present and ensuring this is regularly assessed. The reading lead will also be required to promote a love of reading for students across the school and work with parents to support reading in the wider context.
