What skills and experience we're looking for

We are keen to hear from candidates who will:

  • Take the lead in inspiring and motivating the English team to deliver strong outcomes.
  • Be responsible for continuously improving the quality of teaching and learning across the department.
  • Be responsible for developing a well-considered curriculum that supports pupil understanding and success across both Key Stage 3 and 4.
  • Be responsible for monitoring pupil progress in English.
  • Make a significant contribution to all aspects of the wider English curriculum and enrichment provision provided by the department.
