Curriculum Leader for ICT/Business Studies job summary

Curriculum Leader for ICT/Business Studies Required for September 2022

Following promotion of the current Curriculum Leader, we are looking to appoint a child centred, dynamic and forward thinking ICT and Business Studies teacher to lead a small team of colleagues.

Candidates will have proven leadership experience and be inspirational classroom practitioners.

It is rare that this key strategic role arises to join such a vibrant middle leadership team and a school with very low staff turnover.

ICT and Business Studies teaching is housed in three fully equipped computer labs with hard wired desktops.

All students learn ICT throughout our three-year KS3 and can then opt to study ICT and/or Business Studies at KS4.

The department has a successful team of staff that consistently support students to achieve excellent outcomes and both subjects continue to be very popular at KS4.

Frederick Gough School is an over-subscribed community school, which aims to ensure all of its learners leave as happy, well rounded, qualified individuals ready to succeed in the next chapter of their lives.

The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

For all applications there will be an enhanced DBS check including children’s barred list information.

Further details are available from the school and interested candidates are welcome to visit the school by appointment in advance, to meet Mick Dalton (Deputy Headteacher).

Closing date: Thursday 3 February 2022 at noon with interviews to be held on Tuesday 8 February.
