Curriculum Leader for Science / Assistant Headteacher job summary
The Governors of this very successful Catholic High School wish to appoint a dynamic and inspirational Science teacher to lead an already strong team on to yet greater things.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who, having established themselves as a great teacher, and having enjoyed some leadership responsibility e.g. second in department, wants to take that next step in their career as Curriculum Leader for Science. You will be joining a very strong team, a well-resourced department, and, if you are prepared to work hard, you will enjoy developing your teaching craft and leadership skills with us. If you already have successful experience as a head of department, and have the requisite skills, Governors would be delighted to consider offering you the higher level TLR (£14,030) as our next Curriculum Leader.
It may well be the case that you have already enjoyed great success as a Curriculum Leader for Science and want to take on the challenge of some aspect of whole school leadership; if so, Governors are prepared to offer an Assistant Headteacher role to someone with the relevant skills and successful experience. The additional responsibilities, alongside leading Science, would be determined on appointment.
