About the Role
We are seeking an exceptional Curriculum Leader of Mathematics to guide and inspire a successful, forward-thinking faculty. You will lead a team committed to academic excellence, creativity, and continuous improvement. Whether you're an experienced middle leader or an aspiring senior leader, this is your chance to influence whole-school progress in a role with scope, visibility, and support.
The successful candidate will:
- Teach across the full age and ability range at Key Stages 3 and 4
- Champion high standards of teaching, learning, and assessment
- Lead departmental CPD and curriculum innovation
- Support, coach, and develop a talented and motivated team
This position also includes opportunities to contribute to our extended Senior Leadership Team, providing the ideal platform for those aspiring to future senior roles.
About Our Mathematics Department
- Consistently among the top 20% nationally for GCSE attainment (FFT Aspire)
- 2024 GCSE Results:
- 83% achieved grade 4 or above
- 65% achieved grade 5 or above
- 25% achieved grade 7 or above
- Strong links with the National Centre for Excellence in the Teaching of Mathematics (NCETM)
- Slightly smaller class sizes than average, enabling focused, high-impact teaching
- Collaborative partnerships with local primary and secondary schools
