What skills and experience we're looking for
John Smeaton Academy are seeking to recruit an inspirational colleague to the role of Curriculum Leader of Business Studies. This opportunity is of great importance to our work as an Academy with the successful candidate being responsible for teaching and inspiring students to achieve their potential in this exciting and rapidly evolving subject. Business Studies will be new to the JSA curriculum for September 2025 with the suitable candidate working alongside the ICT & Computer Science department whilst we grow Business Studies over the course of the next three years. It is therefore the case that the ideal candidate would have the ability to teach ICT/Computer Science at Key Stage 3.
The ideal applicant will have:
- Qualified Teacher Status
- A Successful teaching record with very good teaching practice demonstrated consistently.
- A passion for education and making a difference.
- The ability to put vision into practice.
